For
years we have included sharpening steel in our combination sets. The
steel was handy and always there for the hunter. Our early steels were
coated on one side only with titanium diboride. While the steel worked
for a rough touch-up, after a few years and repeated use, the finish
would sometimes wear off. We have now improved our steels by changing to
a very high quality diamond coating that is actually fused to the steel
and cannot be worn off. One side is a coarser 325 grit for quick results
while the second side is a fine 600 grit for finishing the blade back to
a razor edge. |
