Sometimes nothing will take the place of a good
compact saw in the outdoors. We have looked at wood and bone saws for
years and after much field testing, have designed two very efficient and
stable full-tang saws for the outdoorsman. The object of an
outdoorsman's saw is to cut quickly and quietly. When you are trimming
brush to set up on a gobbling turkey that is 90 yards out, the last
thing you want is loud noises. Inherently weak folding saws that "click"
into place are not the answer. Saws that must be put together (always
fun in the dark!) are not the answer. Saws the "wobble and sing" when
you use them because they are not full-tang and are out of balance are
not the answer - neither are saws that are so short that the sawing
takes forever. Our saws have a cutting area 8" long and a total length
of 13" so the stroke is smooth and very efficient, cutting quickly and
cleanly. Our field tests have shown that high quality saws should be
full-tang to help eliminate blade "wobble and sing." Folding saws are
just not as stable as full-tang handled saws. Therefore, both our wood
and bone saws are full tang and double-riveted with a flared-brass
lanyard sleeve. Each "Suregrip" handle has deep finger grooves to
prevent hand slippage in wet conditions. Yes, this sturdier construction
costs more, but the end result is high quality. For the wood saw, we
designed an extremely aggressive tooth pattern that will facilitate
quick cutting. The bone saw has a finer tooth pattern that cuts bone
smoothly and effortlessly. Finally, both saw blades are made from SK-5
stainless steel, a high-grade steel proven to make excellent quality
saws. With proper care and cleaning after use, these saws will last a
lifetime. |
